If your number plates have been lost or confiscated by the police, but not deregistered, you must deregister the plates by declaring them lost in the Danish Register of Motor Vehicles (Motorregistret).
If both your number plates have been stolen, you must first report the theft to the police. You can then declare the number plates lost in the Register of Motor Vehicles.
Only the vehicle’s primary owner can declare the number plates as lost.

- Select Plader (Plates) → Erklær alle nummerplader bortkommet (Declare all number plates lost).
