About the form
The form is used by citizens and businesses to apply for permission to register vehicles with diplomatic number plates, airport number plates or border number plates.
The applicant chooses whether the vehicle should be registered with blue or white number plates.
Diplomatic number plates cost DKK 1,180 for cars and DKK 590 for motorcycles. (Motorcycles can only be registered with white number plates.) You pay for blue number plates via the form. You pay for white number plates when the vehicle is registered with a license plate operator.
What you need to submit the application for diplomatic number plates:
- You need to log on using MitID
- Information about the vehicle Chassis number, registration number (used vehicle)
- Proof of ownership, for example a photo of the original registration certificate (used vehicle) or a copy of the document of sale (new vehicle)
- If you are applying as an embassy, diplomat or administrative employee: Declaration 13.004 (franchise) or a signed and stamped letter from the embassy management. As a diplomat or administrative employee, you must also attach a copy of your ID or residence permit.
- If you are applying as an employee of an international organisation: Copy of the Certificate for registration of motor vehicle free of customs, excise duties and VAT, International organisation.
- Copy of ID or residence permit.
- If you are applying as an international organisation: A signed and stamped letter from the management of the international organisation.
- If you are a number plate operator, you must attach a power of attorney from the applicant.
- Credit/debit card to pay the fee via the form.
